The ideal candidate is responsible for conducting the necessary loan tasks and functions required in order to close loans that are in the active pipeline. The Account Manager must maintain company quality standards through proper loan due diligence, attention to detail, and completion of all required steps in a timely and efficient manner.
-Performs review of loans originated by third parties for general guidelines and identify outstanding items or questions that could cause closing delays.
-Communicates all approval status changes and clear to close statuses with client and/or client manager via phone or e mail.
-Meets confidentiality requirements related to company, customer and financial information.
-Communicated in writing, verbally and via email in a clear and positive way. Meets policy requirements governing communication content.
-Meets high-productivity requirements and constantly evaluates and prioritizes work throughout the day to meet frequent deadlines
-Takes ownership of work and completes tasks and projects accurately. Reviews and proofreads work thoroughly.
-Works well in a fast paced team environment and communicated regularly with other ream members to ensure deadlines are met.
-Discusses conditions as dictated by UW and internal policy, and ensure client/client manager understands what is required.
-Resolves problems and questions with underwriting department and secondary marketing department.
-Remains up-to-date on best practices relevant to the position; enhances skills as feasible. Is open to suggestions for improvement and change.
-Performs pipeline tasks necessary to clear loan conditions, and preview all conditions that are submitted and/or are pending UW review.
-Maintains daily workflow prioritization, and communicate accordingly, to ensure all urgent matters are dealt with, and purchase transactions do not carry beyond target close date.
-Audits files for compliance throughout the loan process: RESPA/GFE, Compensation Rules, HOEPA, all applicable predatory lending tests, TILA, MDIA, and Appraiser Independence requirements.
-Proactively monitors pipeline to ensure timely funding of loans.
-Completes all processing tasks required prior to submission to closing department and submit files to the closer free of deficiencies.
-Constant communication with Account Executives regarding their pipelines and Brokers.
-5-7 years in mortgage lending
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in underwriting, processing and/or as a loan officer
-Shown ability to establish strong rapport with customers, sales and operations;
-Working knowledge and understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA processing guidelines;
-Working knowledge of RESPA, Reg-Z, TILA, and related compliance guidelines, along with the ability to detect and rectify deficiencies and/or non-compliance on specific loans.
